- What is your favorite quote by someone who inspires you?
"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This quote reminds me that while systemic change takes time, persistence, solidarity, and principled leadership can drive progress. It’s a guiding light in both activism and governance.
- What skills are you most proud of or want to learn?
I'm most proud of my ability to convene diverse groups, facilitate dialogue, and build consensus in complex, often polarized environments. I aim to deepen my strategic foresight and data-informed advocacy skills to better support civil society organizations navigating fast-changing global dynamics.
- What is your vision for civil society?
I envision a civil society that is bold, inclusive, and resilient—where grassroots voices shape global agendas, and civic space is protected as a cornerstone of democracy. It must be intersectional, tech-savvy, and locally rooted while globally connected. Civil society should be a catalyst for equity, truth, and solidarity, holding power to account and enabling communities to co-create just futures.
- What lesson(s) have you learnt from failure?
Failure has taught me the importance of listening deeply before acting. In one initiative, our eagerness to launch led us to overlook community readiness—slowing impact and damaging trust. I learned that co-creation, cultural humility, and adaptive planning are essential. Failure isn't the end—it's a compass that, when reflected upon honestly, sharpens vision and strengthens strategy.
