Luisa Rodríguez Táriba is a prominent activist and human rights defender in Venezuela, with more than 20 years of experience promoting and defending women's right to health and life. Luisa Rodríguez Táriba has built a strong and consistent track record in strengthening civil society in Venezuela and Latin America. With more than two decades of experience, she has led initiatives aimed at defending civic space, strengthening the institutions of social organizations, promoting citizen participation, and networking, even in contexts of high democratic restrictions.
She is president of SINERGIA – the Venezuelan Network of CSOs, a platform that brings together more than 50 organizations in the country, and founder of FUNCAMAMA, an organization with national impact on health and women's rights. From these spaces, she has promoted advocacy, oversight, training, and coordination actions in adverse contexts, maintaining active relationships with international organizations accredited in Venezuela and participating in international dialogue and cooperation processes.
At the global level, Luisa has been a leading figure in AGNA (Affinity Group of National Associations), a forum through which she has promoted the exchange of best practices, the building of inter-institutional trust, and the collective defense of civic space. Her regional perspective allows her to connect with local and continental dynamics, bridging the gap between national realities and the global challenges of civil society.
