WeRise! is CIVICUS global campaign for expanded civic space. A grassroots-driven initiative designed to co-create context-specific solutions for protests amidst the growing restrictions on civic space. In a global reality where movements are increasingly targeted and stigmatized, WeRise! seeks to share a positive narrative defending and empowering FoPA at a local level. This initiative unites grassroots movements from the global majority, where the right to protest is often at risk. The WeRisers foster solidarity, strengthen resilience, and drive innovation.
