CIVICUS’ Membership Solidarity Fund
The Theory of Change underpinning CIVICUS’ 2017-2022 Strategic Plan is based on the assumption that we are stronger when we work together. Belonging to a global movement for change that stands in solidarity is a central tenet of membership in the CIVICUS alliance. The contributions of voting members joining the CIVICUS Alliance are allocated to the CIVICUS Solidarity Fund.
The objectives of the CIVICUS Solidarity Fund are to:
- Enhancing solidarity within the alliance, fostering a sense of belonging to a global movement for change.
- Supporting civil society diversity and resilience, especially among smaller, non-formal actors where civic space is restricted or closed.
- Creating opportunities where they do not exist for change seeking actors to contribute to a more just, inclusive and sustainable world.
