The CIVICUS alliance is a vibrant network of engaged and informed people acting together for a more just, inclusive and sustainable world.

There is a wide range of programming that you can access based on your interests and needs. These engagement opportunities, tools and resources are regularly featured in member mailers.

CONNECTING PEOPLE AND IDEAS

Participate in the ICSW - International Civil Society Week, in 2020. Stay Tuned! Voting members receive event registration discounts.

Contribute to the local to global discussions around the State of Civil Society. Throughout the year, members contribute their perspectives through articles, interviews, creative expressions and democracy dialogues.

Sign-up to the Innovation for Change platform to connect with others in your region and globally. Voting members receive special access.

LEARNING AND EXCHANGING

30 years of age or under? Join CIVICUS Youth. Voting members are eligible to apply to be part of the Youth Action Team.

Join the DIGNA - Diversity and Inclusion Group for Networking and Action  and contribute to translate policies and principles into practice. Contact

Participate in CIVICUS annual Global Exchange event and connect with other CIVICUS members to identify alternative solutions to common challenges.

Learn about the strategies on how to improve the enabling environment for civil society resourcing in your country from voting member organisations in the AGNA network

PRODUCING AND USING DATA

Follow CIVICUS members’ journey to enhance constituency-based accountability for greater resilience through Resilient Roots.

Learn about and connect with the Goalkeepers Youth Action Accelerator that supports youth advocates to use data and storytelling for more accountable and sustainable development.

Until November 2019, begin your data safety journey with the free digital security course by DataShift and Digital Security Lab Ukraine.

GENERATING AND USING KNOWLEDGE

Voting members help to track civic space by contributing updates to the CIVICUS Monitor or accessing real-time information to enhance advocacy.

Contribute to or draw from the State of Civil Society Report, an annual publication that examines the major events that involve or affect civil society around the world.

Access Enabling Environment National Assessments carried out by voting members on the legal, regulatory and policy environment for civil society.

Draw on the resources from the Global Accountability and Transparency Platform sourced from voting member organisations in the AGNA network

Share strategies on how to improve youth engagement with members in the AGNA and CIVICUS youth on the Youth Engagement Platform

ENHANCING ADVOCACY

Engage in intergovernmental processes through CIVICUS representation at the UN Headquarters in New York or UN Human Rights Council and other mechanisms in Geneva.

Join the Vuka! Coalition for Civic Action to build solidarity and collectively mobilise to reclaim civic space.

Sign up to the Action for Sustainable Development global civil society platform to engage with the Sustainable Development Agenda.

 

CAMPAIGNING FOR CHANGE

Organise an event that brings people together across lines of division during the annual SPEAK! campaign’s days of global action 20-21 September. 

Sign up to the MobLab Dispatch and access resources to become more effective in the digital age, including information related to training, campaign workshops, and organisational coaching.

INCREASING VISIBILITY

Voting members can share their job listings, engagement opportunities, research and publications through e-CIVICUS.

ACCESSING RESOURCES

Apply to the Crisis Response Fund to access funding for emergency advocacy actions in response to restrictions that impede your organisation’s work.

Respond to the Solidarity Fund’s application call, for flexible or rapid response funding.

Contribute to or draw from CIVICUS membersStories of Resilience as we explore alternative resourcing models for diverse civil society actors.
