The EENA in Uganda was carried out by the Uganda National NGO Forum between January and November 2014.

Key findings from the research include administrative restrictions and bureaucratic impediments on CSOs registering and operating in Uganda. Freedoms of expression and media freedoms are restricted, while civil society groups working on sensitive issues such as oil revenue transparency, land, governance, and human rights increasingly face a range of obstructions and threats to their work. Despite all these challenges, the relationship between government and civil society has had instances of positive interaction in the form of consultations and involvement in M&E of government programmes and PPPs.
