The EENA in Burkina Faso was carried out by Civil Society Network for Development (RESOCIDE) between March and September 2014. 

Some of the key findings of the research noted that there is a legal enabling environment for civic action in Burkina Faso that has led to the registration of more than twenty thousand associations by 2014. Collaboration and networking between this civic associations however is weak.

Access to funding was seen as a key challenge for CSOs with there being limited public funding leading to most CSOs relying on international funding.
